Back to the Future – Irina Werning

Hey, look, more cool art!

This time it’s Irina Werning’s “Back to the Future” project, which started last year, where she’s got pictures of people from when they were younger (oldest from 1956, most recent from 1992), and then she’s got the subject of the photo to recreate the shot! Super cool, no?

Incidentally, I had wanted to do this in December of 2009, recreating the picture below for my 18th birthday. My older sister (the one in blue) was uncooperative 😦

  1. That Irina Werning is pretty tricky with her camera skillz eh? Too bad Katie wouldn’t comply with your photo idea – it would have been great! ^__^

  2. Ooh, that’s awesome! Thanks for posting 😀
Too bad all my gaudy old 90s clothes have long since been donated to lifeline, or I’d attempt the same thing :/ Do you think there’s a chance they still haven’t sold?

    • I was looking in a vintage shop the other day, and I found the EXACT SAME DRESS (or at least an EXACT SAME DRESS just not having been to my house) (but it might have been) as had once been in my family’s possession. It came with a matching hat, but the hat wasn’t in the shop 😦
