My sunglasses broke today. And that broke my heart.
I bought these last summer from Sportsgirl, I think, for about $20.
They might not seem too valuable, but I tried on so many pairs of sunnies before I found these. The rest were too big, or too small on my face, but these were perfect.
And these little birds! How cute?!
But, alas, they are no more. What have you broken that’s broken your heart?
I found this recipe for Oreo cheesecake cupcakes the other week, and have been dying to make them since!!!

This is just a quick post about karma. Do you believe in it?
I mentioned a few posts back about my friends and I are going to have a summery Grown Up Barbeque. Since we decided this, the four friends (who all live in one Big Happy Fun House) have been looking for a barbeque. They’d looked on eBay, in the Trading Post, and in bargain stores, but hadn’t committed to anything.
And then their neighbour offered them a barbeque. Just Like That.

Eddplant (or Ed Blann) is a 23 year old musician living in London, who is part of the thriving Youtube community where I source much of my favourite music.
He’s been uploading both originals and covers on the ‘Tube since 2007, and never ceases to make me fall in love with his voice. Is there a non-cliche way to say a voice is gravelly? If there is, imagine me telling you that what his voice is like. It relaxes me. It’s kind of like he’s singing directly to you, sharing a little secret or something.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty cheap when it comes to my wardrobe.
Don’t get me wrong, I love fashion, and looking nice, and (most of the time) shopping. BUT, I like to get value for money. I would rather a number of cheaper items than one designer piece. I perfectly understand and agree with the logic of fashmatics, but as a uni student who works thirteen hours a fortnight, I still like to get as much stuff for as little as possible.
Another post with the tag “summer”. What else would you expect? I told you that I’m super keen for it!
This time, it’s a list of my Favourite Ways Not to Get Skin Cancer. Because who wants skin cancer? Not me, that’s for sure. And I’m guessing not you, either.
Who doesn’t love a bit of Grease in the blog title?!
Hmm. Knowing the opinions of many of my friends about Grease, don’t answer that. Just be happy for me, haha.
Anyway! About this time every year (the end of the school year is in sight, days are getting longer and warmer, etc etc), I start thinking of the long stretch of holidays that lays ahead of me. Thinking and PLANNING.
